While the statue of Dolly Parton could eventually replace the monument of the former KCC leader in Tennessee, fans have launched a petition asking for Dolly statues to replace all the Confederate monuments in the state. While the recent protests had called for the removal of Confederate monuments, the statue of the Confederate soldier and leader of the MAC Nathan Bedford Forrest in Nashville has received much attention. According to the reports, local lawmakers are considering options to replace the statue and building a doll in Bedford’s place should be possible.
This possibility seems very real, based on the statements made by the Republican state commissioner Jeremy Faison last year. Mr. Fason noted that he could find at least 100 other people who deserved the position and personally described Mr. Parton as an excellent candidate. If we want to keep the story, we have to tell it right, Fason said. What if we let the lady in? My daughter is 16, and I want her to come to Capitol Hill to see a lady… What’s wrong with putting someone like Dolly Parton in a doghouse?
Many people in social networks also support his idea. Tennessee, which has replaced the statue of KKK with that of Dolly Parton, is an America of which I am proud, said a Twitter tweet. It will be difficult to find someone who is not behind the statue of Dolly Parton in another state. More and more people are calling on lawmakers to go further and replace all the monuments of the Confederacy in the state with the statue of Dolly Parton, with a fan-post in every cap: TO REPLACE ALL STATUES OF SWORN ENEMIES IN TENNIS WITH A PARTON DOLL. Twitter liked it more than 385,000 times in a few days.
In the hope that this will become reality, another fan has meanwhile launched a new campaign petition on Change.org. In addition to her beautiful music that has touched the hearts and lives of millions of Americans, Dolly Parton’s philanthropic heart has undoubtedly changed the world for the better, according to the petition. The author also refers to Dolly’s charitable work through the Dollywood Foundation and the Imagination Library, as well as the millions of dollars she has donated to dozens of charities. To strongly support this idea, some fans make a money donation for charity, accompanied by their digital signature.
Whether it is a monument to Parton or something else that it replaces, it seems that the days of the statue of Nathan Bedford Forrest are numbered. Given the interest of the fans and the recent reports about such a possibility, it seems likely that Dolly’s statue will be picked up, but so far no official word has been announced. Parton had not yet made a public statement about this concept at the time. Details of this story are available on ABC News, and you can sign a petition to Parton on Change.org to replace all Confederate monuments in Tennessee. Why does the bust of the founder of KCC have a place of honour in the holy halls of the Capitol of Tennessee in the Year of the Lord 2020?
I nominate Dolly Parton to replace him.
My opponent, Scott De Jarle, disagrees.

Last year he attended a conference in Nashville where an incredibly long debate took place about replacing the statue of the ACC/Confederate General Leader with that of Dolly Parton. And this is what the damn thing looks like. Don’t you respect all the doctors and Miss Dolly for that?

Let’s not forget that Dolly Parton founded the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, which sends free books to children from birth to the age of five. One of the reasons my baby has so much https://t.co/4K8KmDQISe.
